I've been coveting a sweater pattern in the new issue of Vogue Knitting, Winter 2009/10 issue. At first I thought it was a leopard pattern, but the designer describes it a abstract flowers...whatever. Looks like leopard spots to me. Anyway, went online to price the yarn I'll need and OMG! Just for the yarn would be about $155! I really, really want to make this sweater, though. Maybe next payday I'll be able to talk DH into letting me get it. He's spending money on music stuff, so this will be payback.
I've never done anything big using the Fair Isle method, so this will be a learning experience.
My older sister had double surgery yesterday....shoulder and knee replacement. Went to see her after work and she's incredibly well. She's been up walking around some today with the physical therapists and says it's not too bad. She'll be in the hospital one or two more days, then she'll be transferred to the Rehab Center on the campus for about three weeks, so she's in for a long stay.
Work sucked, I'm tired, so that's all for today.
